For those interested in photography, an elective in Digital Photography will cover technical and artistic approaches to digital photography. Topics will include camera handling, compositional techniques, historical perspectives and theme development.
Fundamental concepts of aperture, shutter and ISO settings as well as advanced digital techniques will be covered. During the second semester individual expression through photo manipulation will be explored with the aid of the PhotoShop program. Displays of prints will be present throughout the year and a large group of pieces will be on display at the Spring Art Show. Students will learn to evaluate their work via group critiques.
