Coaching Staff

Mr. Bobby Jones Varsity Head Coach

Prior to Curley, Mr. Jones coached at Springfield College (MA) as well as The University of Mary
(ND) where he was the offensive coordinator.  From January of 2018 to the present, Jones
served as the associate head coach and offensive coordinator at Washington & Lee University
(VA) where Jones’s offense was proven to be among the best and most efficient offenses in the
country.
The Generals have finished in the top six in rushing in the country in every season Jones has been
at the helm. During the 2023 season the Generals had a 1,000-yard passer with no
interceptions, a 1,000-yard rusher, and 16 different touchdown scorers, while averaging over
thirty points per game in the regular season. Jones has also served as the recruiting coordinator
for the program the last five years.
After graduating from W&L with a Bachelor of Arts in business, Jones spent the 2014 season on
the staff at Rutgers University (NJ) where he was involved with player development.  He assisted
in coaching the tight ends and offensive line groups that produced two NFL draft picks. Jones
was part of Rutgers first season in the Big Ten that culminated in a victory over North Carolina
in a postseason bowl game.
As a player with the W&L football program, Jones was a four-year letter winner at offensive
tackle, and started every game since his rookie season.  He twice earned First Team All-ODAC
and First Team All-State honors while helping to pave the way for one of the top rushing
offenses in Division III.
Mr. Jones, also holds a Master’s of Education degree from Springfield College and served as a
physical education professor at W&L.
At Curley, Mr. Jones will be working in the Curley athletic department as a physical education
and health instructor, as well as assistant athletic director.
