Students from FYM attended a service retreat. The retreat began by a visit to the African American History and Culture Museum in DC followed by a visit to various monuments around the tidal basin. Students were able to reflect upon various contemporary social issues and shared with their classmates about various ways they can help promote human dignity in society today. Students then had a moment of prayer and reconciliation at the Shrine of St. Anthony in Ellicott City before heading over to Field of Screams for a team building moment. During the second day, students went either the Franciscan Center or St. Ann’s Adult Day Services to engage in a day of service.
