The SGA hosted the Ulman Foundation, a cancer support non-profit organization located in Baltimore, on campus today. Their visit is a part of Curley’s participation in No Shave November and learning the importance of men’s health. CEO Brock Yesto shared with students who the Ulman Foundation is and what they do for patients and their families who have been affected by cancer. Mr. Yesto also shared cancer warning signs, what to look for, precautions you can take to prevent cancer and what cancers specifically affect young adults/men. A current patient and resident of the Ulman House, 32 year old Duane Portman, accompanied the CEO to share his cancer journey and how he has been supported by the Ulman Foundation. Principal, Jeremy Joseph was able to present the Ulman Foundation with a donation as we continue to raise money during No Shave November and Jason Lous ’17. We thank CEO Brock Yesto, Duane Portman and the Ulman Foundation for the inspiring words and for all they do in bringing awareness and support to the Baltimore community.”
