Curley advances to the MIAA “A” Conference championship game after beating Calvert Hall 1-0 on Friday. Bryce Woodward finished off a Brandon Holy pass to give the Friars the lead about 16 minutes into the second half. The Friars finished 12-1 in the Black Division of the A Conference with a 16-2-1 overall record. Calvert Hall was the only conference rival to beat Curley during the regular season and proved to be a worthy and energized opponent in Friday’s semi-final.
Curley will face McDonogh, 3-2 winner over Loyola in the other semifinal. McDonogh finished in first place in the Red Division of the A Conference with a 10-3 conference record and 14-4-1 overall.
The Final will be played on Sunday, November 3rd, at CCBC-Essex at 5:30 PM. Go Friars!!!
