Curley Soccer had a good weekend. On Friday, the Varsity Friars visited Gilman and came away with a 1-0 victory.  Junior Anthony Schlee received a feed from Brandon Holy and found the back of the net for the game’s only score. Good defense made the goal stand. (Click HERE to read the article on the MIAA site.)  Meanwhile the JV Friars hosted Gilman and defeated the Greyhounds 1-0.  Sophomore Aidan Diem scored for Curley.

On Saturday, the teams travelled to St. Augustine’s High School in Richland, New Jersey for a “friendly.” Varsity won 6-2, getting goals from Kenny Clapp, Victory Bravo, Brady Geho, Scott Giampa, Tyler Harry and Zachary Sutherland.  The JV team defeated St. Augustine’s JV 2-0 on goals by Aidan Diem and freshman Dom Bourgeois.

Coach Stitz’s Friars are now 6-0 in The MIAA A Conference and 8-1-1 overall. The JV Friars, coached by Greg Loftus, are 5-1 in conference play and 7-1 overall.
